The essay I had to write for rhetorical analysis was easy but hard to come up with some ideas. I struggled with how I should have my essay written with certain information because it listed somethings it didn’t have that I had so I wasn’t sure if I should add the information. But I believe the research I conducted was actually successful because all of the evidence coming from both sides was accurate information. I learned that there are different techniques that would be used in these ads like Ethos, Pathos and Logos. I would like to know if there are any more literary devices that I could find in the videos that I couldn’t find. Comparing two gaming consoles from the 90’s wasn’t actually that hard because all we had to do was look for any techniques, explain why it had that technique and find the purpose. In my opinion the Nintendo Gameboy and Sega Game Gear are equal to each other because kids from the 90’s would argue which is better but there really wouldn’t be a winner if they were equal.

I agree with how it is weird to not know what to expand on while writing. You’re stuck in a weird brainstorm but also working phase and it is so weird. It can get the better of you sometimes.

Hey Justin,
There are many points that you made in this blog post that I totally agree with. When we were starting the essay I also struggled with finding ideas at first because I could not figure out any techniques used in the two ads I chose. Because of this I did some research and just like you I think it was succsessful because I figured out what techniques the ads were using.
